Scientist claims that walking on the side of buildings like Spiderman could soon become a reality.
Model gloves and shoes are being developed using a material that allows a person with a cane and climbing wall.
As reported by the Telegraph, Friday (27 / 8), scientists from Stanford University, California, it makes a new outfit, inspired by the gecko that has been tested successfully on a small robot that can berjalanan on smooth surfaces like glass and metal.
They want to develop the designs for humans, as part of the project that they give the name Z-Man.
Gecko can defy gravity because microscopic hair on their toes to create "one adhesive." Sticky bond created through each step, but still can be damaged due to movement in another direction.
Scientists have been struggling for the past 10 years, to create a version that is strong enough to climb a vertical wall. They have created devices such as rubber material covered in thousands of small polymer fibers, mimicking that existed at the feet of geckos. (Pk)
